Beach or park?
Beach or park? Eh, why not do both. Baby Arianna had just celebrated her first birthday and Jasmine wanted to document this big milestone with a photo session. She wanted to bring life to her family by capturing details and lots of candid moments. Arianna had just started walking and was rapidly turning into a little person. The changes seem to come fast and furious after this point. Since she’s an outdoor-loving kind of baby we decided to include some beautiful greens and some vibrant blues.
An afternoon in the park
We started our adventure at Nuuanu Valley Park where we sang songs and smelled flowers under towering monkey pod trees. As the sun began to sink in the sky we quickly packed our things and made our way across the pali to Kalama Beach Park. Little Arianna’s face lit up once she saw the ocean. Fearless, she raced out to embrace the waves. We splashed along the shore until darkness.

They’re replacing the playground structure at the park along with 14 other parks by the end of this year. There are going to be a lot of happy families out there!
