A visit from down under
When you view these images, please do so with an Australian accent in your head. Not only because it’s a fun way to pass the time, but because this family was visiting Hawaii all the way from, well, Australia. And they were awesome. Also, can we agree to use the word cheeky more? It’s a great word. I’m not sure why Americans have yet to embrace it.
Lounge mode
After a week in the hustle of Waikiki, Sarah and her family were spending their final days in pure lounge mode at the Aulani resort. Ah, Aulani. Where you can float for hours on the lazy river, listen to a campfire story, or take in a glowing sunset from the infinity pool. They strolled over to meet me at Paradise Cove and we immediately began to explore. We were hoping for sea turtles. We searched for sea turtles and willed them to appear. No turtles could be found. But what we did have was even better. There were shared laughs and discoveries and my personal favorite, spontaneous siblings hugs. I kind of thought it was a myth, but those two were best buddies.
When the sun began to warm the sand we decided it was time to jump in. How can anyone resist that perfect blue water? A wonderful end to their Hawaiian adventure.
