It’s great to be a baby in Hawaii. No need for pesky shoes, or even clothes. Long mornings at the beach, naps in the warm sun, and all the sand you can eat (while your parents aren’t looking). It’s a pretty good life. Marigny just became a Hawaii baby. Her family moved from the mainland to Oahu and wanted to set up a family photo session to celebrate her first birthday in her new home.

Turning one is kind of a big deal. The baby rolls start to melt away and before you know it, you have a toddler on your hands. Change comes fast and furious at this stage and so we need baby photography Kailua.

Sunrise over Castles, Kailua Beach

As the sun rose over Kailua Beach and we headed out for our morning session at Castles, two new teeth began to peak from swollen gums. At the same time, Marigny decided it was high time she learned to walk. That’s a lot for one morning. She fussed and whimpered, but in between were happy moments of joy and discovery. I was even able to capture her signature bear crawl (spectacular by the way). Just a week later the bear crawl became a thing of the past as she became a proficient walker. Fast and furious changes…
