A celebration vacation in Hawaii
A sweet vacation in Hawaii to celebrate their 20th anniversary. What’s better than that? It was the first trip for the kids and everyone was super excited. They were staying at the Beach Villas at Ko Olina and wanted to stay nearby so we our made way to the always beautiful, Paradise Cove. The calm waters are perfect for kids to explore and if you’re lucky, you might spot a sea turtle or two.
The one with the sea turtles
The sun was shining and bright as we made our way along the foot path to the little cove. The kids were feeling a bit shy and hung close to mom and dad in the beginning. We wound our way along the cove playing games and searching for cool shells. Slowly their silly, inquisitive personalities began to shine. Being nature lovers, they were really excited to search for fish and crabs in the tide pools. When they saw sea turtle heads popping up in the lagoon, it was definitely time to change into swimsuits. Cameron was so stoked and dragged his mom into the water; mouth hanging open in disbelief.
The turtles swam around us as they snagged bits of green algae from the water. There were so many turtles that the kids grew bored with them and moved on to new adventures.
