My face has gotten me into trouble in the past. It betrays any thoughts or feelings i’m experiencing. Essentially, I have the opposite of a good poker face and in little Knox, I found a kindred spirit. He was feeling our morning beach outing intensely. His family was in Hawaii on vacation so everything about the beach was new and exciting. They made the short walk over from the new Four Seasons at Koolina to one of the best little beaches on the island for babies and toddlers. It’s a small, natural cove that’s tucked along the shoreline. Although, it’s not as popular as the larger, shiner coves with their clean bathrooms and paved walkways, it’s my favorite. It’s rugged beauty packed into a small size.
Grandma organized their big trip to spend time with the grandchildren she doesn’t get to see often enough. Our photo session was a way to slow down and connect. Well, as much as you can slow down with a toddler. Knox’s little face lit up as he threw rocks at the ocean. It turned into a pirate scowl as he charged the world with a giant stick and filled with glee as he snuggled with family and soaked in all the attention. Enjoy it little Knox as your family dynamic is on the verge of a big change. Soon, you’ll be a big brother.
