So we meet again
I was giddy before this session because I just love this family. They had an in-home lifestyle session for their family last year which ended with a big finale at Waimanalo beach. At the time, I thought baby Arianna couldn’t get any cuter, but I was so very wrong. She’s developed into a spunky, vivacious little character who is over the top cute. For our morning together, this little explorer was put in charge. She loved it. I mean what’s better than having the full attention and adoration of three adults?
A MCBH Sunrise
Our Waimanalo evening last year had soft, muted light, so this time we wanted some bright, sunshine drenched images. Sadly, this would be their last year stationed on Oahu so we wanted to capture some of the beauty and diversity of windward Oahu before they had to leave.
It turns out that nearby Kaneohe Marine Corps Base has one of their favorite beaches, Fort Hase Beach. We had the wonderful beach to ourselves to watch the sunrise and explore.
Limited time on Oahu?
So many families on Oahu are transient – especially those in Kailua. It’s wonderful to have the opportunity to spend time in Hawaii – to explore the culture and find adventure as a family, but it’s also sad to leave. I photograph many families at the end of their time here, hoping to capture a bit of their lives here so they can take it with them.
If your time on Oahu is limited, I would love to plan a fun day at your favorite spot making sunny memories that your family to treasure! Find out more about my family photography sessions here.
