Military moms
I was immediately bedazzled by tiny Chloe. We met for a consultation beforehand to talk about great photo locations, and the best time of day, and what to wear, and all that fun stuff. Only I hard time focusing with this wide-eyed, curious, toddler checking me out. I just wanted to sit on the ground and play with her. But we did manage to do some planning. Mom is in the military while dad stays at home with sweet Chloe. I asked if they were morning people and he replied, “Yes! She wakes up at 9 or 10am every day.” I can feel those of you with 5 am risers cringing right now.
A reminder of growing up in Hawaii
It was so important for Joyce to have great images of her little girl to take with on deployment. They had been to some photo studios to capture first year milestones with mildly traumatic results. Our goal was to have her roam and play and just have a great time. And also to have a beautiful backdrop as a reminder of their time here because they were leaving Hawaii. Their house had already been packed up and they were enjoying their final weeks on island as an extended Waikiki vacation. Our session was the last thing on their to-do list.
We met at Bellows Beach on a beautiful, sunny afternoon and it was a fabulous, memorable day.
