Into the country
We planned this photo session almost a year in advance. Instead of one full length session, Amber wanted to capture more of baby Riley’s special first year. We had mini sessions throughout the year, but we were all looking forward to her one-year session. That was going to be something special because we planned to have it at the family’s flower farm. Tucked into the craggy peaks surrounding Waiahole Valley is a beautiful piece of land where they grow showy ginger, impossibly bright heleconia, and other tropical delights. The farm has been part of the family for generations and it was a fitting backdrop for it’s youngest member.
At home
Tony mentioned an old steel tub his dad uses around the farm and we thought it would make an ideal baby coral. Turns out it does. Much to Riley’s delight, it also makes a great drum. She was happy to make music and dance and snuggle her lovey in the warm afternoon sun.
Looking for a mini session?
As much as I love long sessions, I know sometimes you need something a bit shorter. A few great images to capture milestones or update your Christmas cards. Maybe something special for mother’s day. Contact me today if you’re looking for something short and sweet and I’ll fill you on my mini sessions.
