You had me at sun romper. Oh, if I could go back in time and find an adorable sun romper like this for my baby girl … The cuteness overwhelms me. And the sunrise. I’m always a little nervous to tell people my sessions usually start at sunrise. I’m not a morning person after all. And when I do wake up I’m content to rock the “just rolled out of bed” look for … well, the whole day really. But the sunrise gets me every time and I think it’s worth it.
We met under the dramatic cliffs at Makapuu Beach Park. I’ve only shot one other time there recently, but i’ve fallen in love with this spot. It’s perfectly suited for epic images and I have a hard time putting my wide angle lens down. Adorable family, check. Stunning background, check. And we were off to explore the rocks and sand. Little Scarlett was fully bursting with excitement and love. She was happy to take breaks from exploring to lavish hugs and sloppy kisses and both mom and dad. She was quite democratic about sharing her affections.
The waves made her a bit nervous so we walked over to submerge in the chilly, but calm tide pools. Tiny fish darted about as Scarlett tested her splashing prowess. A few more hugs and kisses and she was spent for the morning. It was a good one to be remembered.
