Oh, the sweltering, el nino induced heat this summer! Hats off and cool thoughts to all those pregnant women who have had to endure it. Krystyn happily traded her big pregnant belly for a sweet baby girl and I arrived at their home to photograph some of their first moments together as a family. The sun was blazing outside, but I opened the door to a cozy oasis from the heat. The sweet smell of baby and cool air wafted out and the first thing I saw was Kylie’s shock of black hair. It naturally formed a stylish faux-hawk and made me feel she was destined for great things. Who doesn’t love a baby with big hair?
Krystyn wanted to add a bit of beach to their session, so after snuggles and naps and feedings we took a drive to Kailua Beach. The wind had picked up but baby Kylie was snug in her pj’s and calmly took in her very first trip to the beach. Welcome to the world little one.
