A still morning in Koolina

I met this sweet family of three at Paradise Cove for a lovely sunrise photo session. The best thing about sunrise sessions (other than gorgeous, dreamy light of course) is that you have the beach all to yourself. It’s peaceful and clean and the whole day stretches out before you full of possibility.

Early Birds

Now that is a pretty great reason to roll out of bed on vacation. One of these days I’ll have to wake up my own family and drag them out to the beach to experience a beautiful sunrise. We are not morning people unless we need to be. And as a Hawaii child photographer, I need to be. So in the meantime, I’ll enjoy splashing in the surf and digging my toes in the sand while I capture beautiful memories for other wonderful families (who I force to get out of bed ;).
