I met my husband during a study abroad trip to the Netherlands. He gave me rides on the back of his bicycle. We would cruise along the narrow city streets and canals which I found infinitely romantic. At barely over 20 neither of us had ever attending a wedding before let alone plan one. The day was full of wonderful surprises so we were ready when the lights and music dimmed and a slideshow appeared. The concept was a sweet one ; snapshots of my husband growing up in Holland and me at the same time on the other side of the world. Only the slideshow was mostly him. There were just a handful of photos of me because they were never taken. I was the youngest of four kids and that’s just what happens. First baby gets piles of photos and they drop off exponentially with each child.
Baby Robin rocks back and forth on all fours. She stretches forward with chubby fingers to reach a leaf. A few more weeks (days?) and she’ll be crawling. The baby fat will melt away and she will start to look like a toddler. It’s a big milestone for her. That’s why I found myself at Angela’s Kailua home. We scheduled a mini photo session while the older kids were at school. Just a few images to capture this time in her life; something for the photo wall and the eager grandparents. Mission accomplished. Years from now she won’t find herself watching an embarrassingly empty slideshow of her childhood on her wedding night.
Do you have some big, first year milestones coming up? Contact me today and we can plan a special mini session – all the good stuff in a little package.
