Three under three. Those simple words can strike terror into the heart of parents. The seemingly insurmountable balancing act to keep everyone alive and fed while maintaining some semblance of sanity. That’s scary stuff. Am I alone here? And to get professional photographs at that stage … well, it can feel a bit overwhelming.
Amanda and her family had recently moved to Oahu leaving grandparents behind who missed them dearly. This session was a way to capture the girls doing what they love best (the beach!), but also to re-connect with family far away. We met for a blustery sunrise session at Bellows Beach. The surf raged kicking salt and sand into the air and the girls matched the ocean’s energy as they ran, jumped, and spun on a beach all their own. They were quick to laugh and prone to spontaneous hugs and hand holding. The older girls watched out for their baby sister – lending a hand over a log or simply sharing a snack. It was kind of amazing. Maybe, just maybe, three under isn’t so scary after all.
