A Peaceful Evening at Kualoa Beach

There’s something about this part of the island that makes you feel as if you’ve gone back in time. The pace is slower here. Waves lap gently along the shoreline and car sounds are exchanged for the rustling of tree leaves and bird song. The calm, clear sea stretches out to meet blue mountains and it feels easier to breathe here. It just may be the perfect spot to spend the day in a hammock.

Some families return to Hawaii each year to warm their souls under the bright island sun. A good dose of tropical cheer to last throughout the year. I love to plan a different adventure for them each time they return. Just when you think you know the island and have all your favorite spots, I can show you something new. We explored Kualoa Beach together and filled the bay with brightness and laughter. We searched for coconuts and seashells, tested the water with our toes, and even stumbled upon a lounging sea turtle. Such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
