Marking time with a windward Oahu family photographer
It’s hard to find time for family portraits. Life is hectic and fast-paced and it always seems like next month might be a better time to schedule something or maybe after you lose that baby weight. Before you know it, moments have slipped through your fingers and another year has passed. At least that’s my story. Sometimes it helps to have a milestone in mind – a first birthday, a family vacation, a big move off island, or in Caroline’s case, before those baby teeth fell out.
Maybe it’s because my son just lost his first tooth and I’m feeling extra sentimental, but there’s something so touching about that. Gap-toothed grins quickly evolve into bulky adult teeth which change little faces dramatically. It’s the final milestone of the baby years.
As soon as one wobbly tooth appeared, she started searching for a windward Oahu family photographer. As the date approached and the wobble became more pronounced, we had a weather setback. The next week had us on the edge of our seats (and eating soft foods) hoping it would stay in a bit longer.
A morning at Bellows Beach in Waimanalo
In the end we caught a full set of baby teeth on a beautiful morning at Bellow’s Beach. Connor was quick to laugh and show off those baby whites. Together, we raced down the beach, climbed rocks, and built sand castles as the sun slowly rose over Waimanalo. It was a memorable morning focused on family play and adventure. The very next day, his first tooth fell out.
