Sarah wanted wanted her maternity photos taken close to home in Kailua where they spent most of their time. They weren’t much of a beach family and wanted a beautiful, sand-free spot, so we decided to have her photo session at Kawainui Marsh (or the Kailua levy) where her and Andy have spent time running and biking. It also has an incredible view of Olomana – a view they happen enjoy from their bedroom. We spent a beautiful summer evening taking in the views and talking of all things baby.
Shortly after these photos were taken, baby Tristan decided to make an early appearance. He spent a couple weeks in the NICU and probably took a couple years off his parents lives, but he’s a strong little guy. When I met them for their newborn session, they seemed relieved to finally hold this little guy at home. I was so happy to meet him and capture some of these peaceful moments at the very beginning of his life.
A special quilt that used to be his dad’s when he was a baby.I love baby smiles :)
